The court ruled in favor of the employee and awarded the Gulf woman 13,400 dirhams as annual leave allowance, end of service, travel ticket, wrongful termination allowance and court costs.
The Gulf woman rejected the court decision and filed an appeal against it. The woman's claim said that the procedure followed by the employee to file the case was illegal and she should have taken the matter to the Labor Court. Dismissing the appeal, the Civil Court upheld the original court's decision in favor of the maid, with a minor change, and ordered the woman to pay 11,000 dirhams to the maid.
